Tuesday 21st June 4.30 – 6pm discovery centre
I am running an introductory field sketching workshop at the Discovery Centre at Rye Harbour Nature Reserve with Sussex Wildlife Trust in the afternoon of Tuesday 21st June, and I am really excited to show people how to get started in this valuable and enjoyable way of recording the birds we can see on the Reserve – and beyond.
The workshop is suitable for all levels – even those who “can’t draw” – as I will be showing how to master the basic bird shapes, and build from there, bringing added value to your birdwatching as well as cultivating a relaxing and purposeful skill.
All materials are provided, and you get to take away a sketchbook and pencils so that you can continue to practise after the workshop.
Enjoy a tea or coffee as we cover the basics, before having the chance to draw some of the birds from the Discovery Centre. There will be the opportunity to try different media, ask questions, and troubleshoot any problems in a relaxed and informal atmosphere.
