This year I have decided to do both Blogtober and Inktober, so that I can bond with my sketchbook with Inktober, and keep up my blogging with Blogtober. So, I will be blogging about Inktober but it’s good to have a discipline, right? It’s also been a while since I felt part of a community so I would like to invest some time in my own art and writing practice.
I really enjoy ink drawing, and after a summer of marker pens and thinking really strategically about what I want to put to paper, I think I need some time off to play around and make a mess. Yes I’m looking at you, dip pen and your lovely scratchy blots <3
I found all the prompts on the Inktober newsletter so I’ve jotted them down in my diary. I will need to be excused for a few days in the middle of the month as I’m away in a digital desert and may not be able to write or upload posts. I will, however, be able to draw.
How about you? Blogtober? Inktober? Let me know! Here’s a rather angry horse I did for my daughter (following step by step instructions!) and I love love LOVE the drama. And the blots, natch.
