BLOGANUARY 2025 DAY 31

Well I’m at the end of Bloganuary and I have missed one day, but I will doing a bonus post for tomorrow as I’m off to London to the Natural History Museum for some sketching with friends.
I really enjoyed Blogtober, and I think had there not been the heartache and disruption of the antics courtesy of the orange narcissist and his seriously flawed chums, I might have found it easier to come up with my usual blog-fodder for this January stint of daily blogging.
There have been good things though, so it’s important to celebrate them. For me personally, I have gained 3 new independent bookshop stockists for the birdwatching logbooks, in addition to the 5 I gained last quarter. I have doubled down on my efforts to generate more business and promote my work, and have dipped my toes in the marketing/branding industry by helping Jessica in exchange for some free training. I feel more than ever that my little booklets are a great way to engage people with the birds we have here in the UK, and I’m hoping to pick up another bespoke project for this year. I would love to get another American project; not sure if that’s going to be more or less easy given the state of things over there but hey, no harm in trying. Lord knows, the world’s wildlife needs all the help it can get.
What have you learned this January? Thank you to the other Bloganuary posters – I’ve enjoyed reading your work 🙂
Here’s some art: I did a drawing of a T. rex in anticipation of tomorrow’s jaunt to the NHM in my grey fineliners and some grey ink – seems to be my fave combo at the moment!

Enjoyed this post? You can stay up to date with my work by subscribing 🙂 Thanks so much!

Only missing one day is very impressive – and you’ve achieved so much too. Have fun at the Natural History Museum tomorrow!
