Coral Reefs

This was a lovely session with Wild Life Drawing. I used my coloured pencils and made a composite of some of the reference images. I’d really like to do a sea turtle in gouache some time but I concentrated on fish and corals.

Ariana from LAMAVE in the Philippines spoke to us about how the reef is in a protected zone and the local people now get a revenue from divers and ecotourism as well as in increase in fish stocks; coral reefs are important nurseries for many species of marine wildlife.
