drawing nature and wildlife
I love sharing the fun of drawing, and have run art workshops for all abilities across London and Sussex. I co-host Soho Life Drawing and regularly hold drop-in or bespoke sessions at Wilderness Wood and now hold workshops and tuition for budding artists either in person or over Zoom. Creativity is so important as a way of engaging with nature, and I particularly like working with beginners, or those who would not describe themselves as “artists”. I am experienced with running sessions for home-educators, having homeschooled my own children.
Drawing workshops are a great way to get everyone together, and I offer CPD for corporate clients, bringing high-quality photographic resources if the birdlife is more difficult to access, and natural materials for still life workshops.
I specialise in basic sketching techniques: learning to capture birds quickly and effectively using simple shapes and looking for identifying features. My range of How to Draw worksheets is a guaranteed way to encourage participation, and allows everyone to feel more confident.
