more fish painting

I shared this on my social media yesterday to a resounding nothing! Ho hum. I rather like it, but perhaps it’s a bit brown and boring. I have a cod waiting in the wings (not a sentence you hear every day) so I will carry on with that one today now that the background has dried. I’m currently on hold waiting for an AA (roadside assistance) agent to come online as my new/replacement car is ready and I need to change all the details. My car insurance website is down at the moment so I can’t make those changes but I’m hopeful that I’ll be able to collect my new little motor later this morning – and that I won’t have to put any more fuel in the hire car.
Anyway, back to fish. It was fun to paint the pebbly, sandy ground, and I used my Tundra Orange supergranulating watercolour which always works well on the Khadi paper.

Meanwhile the cod is a ghost fish; a white shape in a dark blue-black background. I will hopefully finish that later today.
