yes I’m a bit late
I feel like I’m sneaking in quietly through the back door wearing last night’s clothes and hoping nobody will notice that I’ve missed the daily deadline by a number of hours. Still, in the spirit of of “it’s five o’clock somewhere” I guess it’s still the 7th December west of San Francisco…
My poor excuse for late Blogmas is that I spent a fair amount of time yesterday helping my dad with his MacBook orientation – he’s moved over from an ancient Windows Acer laptop. The necessity for translating between Apple (phone) and Microsoft (laptop) combined with layers of obsolete information and historic software meant that organisation and ability to navigate his digital persona was becoming problematic, so we decided that reducing the visual noise to a single, seamless user interface was going to be the way forward. I am an Apple gal through and through (much to my son’s horror; he’s a gamer and only uses an iPhone because his sister gave him her old one for free) so it also means I can help my dad – as can my daughter and my mum as we are all in the Mac camp.
I also wrote a Substack about my volunteering at Charleston Farmhouse which in my head felt like a blogpost. Anyway, apologies and I will be back later with some more musings. Meanwhile, here are some Redwing sketches.
