I have been contacting independent bookshops who are well-placed to sell my logbooks, and in order to rise up above the usual criticisms around self-published books, I’ve been offering the small cards I created which, according to the stockists who have expressed a view, have definitely helped with sales. In addition, I decided to provide stands too, so that the books get positioned on a counter or table, and are kept upright, meaning they don’t get lost among bigger books.
