I’m obviously talking about Wisdom the Laysan Albatross, (Mōlī in Hawaiian) who has hatched a chick at the age of 74. I have written about albatrosses before and there’s something about them which just captures my heart. Maybe it’s their size, or benevolent features, or extraordinary adaptations allowing them to traverse the seas. It’s estimated that Wisdom must’ve clocked up at least 3 million miles in her lifetime.
I’m finding it quite difficult to stay focussed and positive at the moment so I’m endeavouring to give myself some time and space to do some gentle sketchbook work in between admin and birdwatching logbook stuff.
