BLOGANUARY 2025 DAY 26

The weather wasn’t very helpful for my morning’s stint at watching for birds, and then halfway through the hour, nextdoor’s cat turned up and climbed the tree where the Blue Tits, Coal Tits, and other small birds tend to perch before heading to the garden feeders. That one left, and then a few minutes later, another one of next-door’s cats turned up and also climbed the tree. So, what with that and the wind and rain, the numbers on my list were very low.
Anyway, it is always a good way of bringing the nation’s attention to our garden birds, and hopefully it will encourage people to think about gardens and natural spaces, and how they can be used for wildlife.
I did some little paintings of the birds I’d seen – apologies for the awful lighting (again). I was going to use one of my birdwatching logbooks but it was full! I need to get myself another one.
