BLOGANUARY 2025 DAY 19
…to not completing today’s post. I have mooched about today, although I did cover 15,000 steps so the dog is nice and tired. I wanted to do some painting but couldn’t think what to do, and then found a tutorial on gouache landscapes and decided to have a go. I have this strange desire to do lengthy or complicated art projects even though I don’t feel a massive sense of achievement as I am not really fussed about producing accomplished paintings. Obviously it’s important with the bird illustrations but that’s work, not Sunday sketchbook stuff.
Anyway I did actually enjoy it, although I now want to find something incongruous to stick on the page, and I have my book of collage images that I will have to raid. Perhaps a blimp in the sky, or a flamingo in the water or something. I think the plain fact is that I just find landscapes duuuulll.
