Ok so this is a slight departure from the normal Blogmas theme but I had to respond to this one, and there is a bird connection, albeit an irreverent one. My favourite cartoon is without doubt: Road Runner and Wile E. Coyote. A love of Looney Toons means whenever I see a photo of a Short-eared Owl like this beauty from @mikekphotoadventure on Instagram I imagine a wall or cliff just out of shot that the bird is going to fly in to, like poor Wile E. Coyote in pursuit of – *Meep Meep!* – the indestructible, invincible Road Runner…
Of course I also love the complete departure from the laws of physics; the obsession with anvils, dynamite and grand pianos; precipitous cliffs and geologically impossible rocky overhangs; ACME products – I could go on. Marvellous stuff.
