Birds of Greenwich Peninsula

A blend of distinctive and innovative architecture and a valuable refuge for wildlife in the heart of London.

Client
Knight Dragon

Project Duration
6 Months

I was approached by Jemima Burrell, Cultural Consultant for Knight Dragon and curator at NOW Gallery regarding a bespoke birdwatching logbook for the habitat and development on Greenwich Peninsula, home of the O2. There is a vibrant community in this iconic area, and the planned housing and innovative creative spaces projects are a powerful draw for residents in the city of London.

NOW Gallery is interested in how art can create opportunities for visitors and locals to explore Greenwich Peninsula in a different way. NOW Gallery curator Jemima Burrill has commissioned a bird watching logbook ‘Birds of Greenwich Peninsula’ by the artist Jennifer Moore to support our Ecology Park. It will raise funds and encourage all to take a walk and look for all the diverse birds that can be seen around the Peninsula.

The Launch was held at the Greenwich Peninsula Ecology Park, with a follow-up drawing workshop in the summer, and a stand at the Urban Village Fair, held in the Design District.
