I wanted to give the children at the Thursday home-ed art class the chance to take advantage of the good weather and autumn colour at Wilderness Wood, and draw some of the surrounding landscape.

We had a go at drawing trees, and noting foreground detail, the horizon, and aerial perspective. Back in the hut we tried some different media:

I’m really pleased with how they are continuing to embrace new media and challenges.

They are very creative and respond enthusiastically to all the subjects you present and produce individually inspired work. They clearly enjoy experimenting with the different materials! Looks fun!
